We are forming an informal neighborhood organization concerned about issues that may impact any or all of us. Our goal is to be able to present a "united front" when support is needed for various concerns, which include everything from degradation of the natural lake environment to fire safety, rattlesnake sightings, problems with phone service, and drivers speeding on our streets.

As a friend of Arden Bluffs, you would simply provide your name, phone number, and/or e-mail address for our "alert list" so we could contact you in the event of an issue needing neighborhood support. That's it--there are no dues or obligations.

Why is this group being formed?

Perhaps you received a letter from Western Area Power Association (WAPA) about their large white power pole and auxilliary structure, which they recently put up across the lake (see photos). Your receiving that letter is the result of several neighbors voicing concern about its visual incompatibility with the pristine lake environment and surrounding wildlife area, as well as the lack of public feedback before it was erected.

If you would like to register feedback on the power pole and structure, please write a letter to WAPA or call them ASAP. If you didn't receive a letter but want to provide feedback, contact:

Heidi Miller hmiller@wapa.gov
Realty Officer
(916) 353-4420
114 Parkshore Drive
Folsom, CA 95630

The more people who contact WAPA, the better!

This pole and structure were a wake-up call that other types of lake degradation could begin without our neighborhood being consulted, and we need to be prepared to mobilize a protest--for whatever issues may present themselves.

If you're interested in adding your contact info to the list and being a Friend of Arden Bluffs, please e-mail jganz@sailnow.com, fill out the form to the right, or call Jonathan at 650-619-6896.
